September 1st. Happy New Year. Happy Rory Gilmore season. Or should I say Paris. We all know she was the best character.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, mild enough for shorts. Cold enough for your boyfriend’s hoodie. Bright enough for sunglasses to still be an accessory. Crunchy leaves. Salvatore brothers. Lukes Diner. Quidditch.
Hello Autumn
Am I still stuck in the back-to-school mindset, or is there actually a factory reset from August to September? I always feel nostalgic for/during August, as it means the imminent depletion of summer. I didnt make the most of summer. I didn’t even do half of my plans. Why didn’t I have a euro summer? Meet a Canadian penpal in the south of France to guarantee next Christmas in Canada? So many why didn’t I’s? Thankfully, there will be another August next year, and the year after that.
September 1st starting on a Monday. The witches really did something with that one.
I deep cleaned my house, swapped the short sleeve t shirts for the long sleeve t shirts, made a new vision board on Pinterest and baked two banana breads. Why are bananas so bad this year?
Last year I went a bit ‘ham’ on clearing out my wardrobe, to result in a wardrobe full of only basics/staples. Very much inspired from Emma Chamberlain. But why does she always look cool, and I do not? Perhaps she has multiple wardrobes. One for staples. One for everything-but-staples. Or a stylist? I should have started YouTube when I was 14. I need to go shopping.
My Autumn intentions. Move less. Cancel plans guilt free. Read more. Treat self more. Stretch daily. Eat bananas before they go bad.
